Melissa Cooper

I’m a User Experience Architect from Sydney, Australia currently working on designing solutions for mobile web,  iphone and online experiences.

My work history includes designing experiences for news media publications, social media websites, e-commerce, finance, classifieds and new ventures.

Over the past few years I’ve been responsible for several online booking systems, site search architecture solutions, and the redesign of a social network. Even more recently I’ve focused almost solely on mobile web page architecture and iphone experience solutions.

My skills include user interface and interaction design, usability, information architecture, user acceptance testing, prototyping and user experience evaluation. With a decade long history working on the web, I’ve also worked as a web producer, content manager, communications officer, freelance web consultant,  and project manager in the past.

I’ve a Master in Interactive Multimedia from the University of Technology, Sydney with majors in user interface and interaction design and a Bachelor of Communications from the University of South Australia majoring in film production.

In a former life, I was a camera operator, video editor and live vision switcher.

In my spare time, I spend even more time on the internet publishing a foodblog, playing with new web apps, frolicking around on social media sites and poking about under the hood of  websites.
