Perhaps this explains Fairfax’s National Times announcement. I wonder how theirs measures up by comparison? I keep wanting to see the current moment in media ownership, reportage and commentary as one that will permit a break with the mainstream corporate stranglehold that has characterised Australia forever….

Thanks so much for the kind words, we really appreciate them! We’re very flexible, at NDM, to different formats and architectures based on the nature of the project.

In the case of ‘The Punch’, the key elements are giving the opinion makers and their audience a voice. That voice should be a clarion call and not be encumbered by unnecessary noise. We really want their voices to sing. Hence the super clean design and blog format.
